#LoveRevolution: A Poem

I do not know where to start.  These things break my heart.

People are spited, divided instead of united.

Hating, discriminating, the world is in waiting.

We cry out for “peace!” while down on our knees, begging “God, please!”

It is easy to see, the world is in need…

In need of revolution, a break from confusion and dissolution.

The time is now. Thank you, God, for showing us how.

You planted a seed, wise Words to heed.

Your Word is my light, shining with truth so bright.  My heart takes flight.

I break free from the chains and all that remains is love in my veins.

Your Love remains…

Your Love remains…

Your Love remains!

Lord, take my heart, break it apart and give me Your absolution.

The world is need of a new solution, a new institution, a new evolution.

This is Your revolution…

#LoveRevolution

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40)

And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8)

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:7-11)

We love Him because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

For God so loved the world the He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. (1 John 3:18)
